NAU Applied Research and Development Project
The NAU ARD building is one of only 12 Platinum "LEED" (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) buildings in the world. LEED's Green Building is the use of design and building practices that engender sustainable site planning and indoor environmental quality, as well as conservation and efficient use of water, energy, and resources. The result is buildings that have a positive impact on occupants, cost less to oeprate and are environmentally friendly. LEEDS Platinum Buildings have to meet the most stringent guidelines of all LEEDS building categories. In addition, Boyer Metal recently completed the HVAC system for the NAU CENS building, which was awarded a Silver LEED designation.
